I was recently assigned the task of finding a company to come into my primary school to provide a fun day for the pupils but the day must have some educational value. It was also important that all of the children were involved. Now, we are not a big school but for all the children, which is 210, to participate in the school day is not as easy as you think, especially if you use the hall as lunch time commands some of this time. After extensive looking I decided that a puzzle day would be fun and also educational as the children would be working cooperatively in teams whilst using thinking skills whilst also being challenge and persevering with their challenges. I discovered a school puzzle company, which was actually called The School Puzzle Company. Their website is www.schoolpuzzlecompany.com. They created a fantastic day full of lots of puzzles that could be done on tables or on mats on the floor. It just goes to show fun and educational is possible.
